The Origin Story
My operational methodology started as just a passion project on how to be more productive… Now, it's an all-in, inspiring venture to help small businesses scale sustainably by building robust systems, processes, and automation!
My origin story probably looks a lot like yours. I had achieved so much – a prestigious education in engineering, a reputable career in the Navy, and numerous startup opportunities – but I still felt stuck. Things were going well on paper… maybe even above average?
However, I knew that my performance wasn't living up to expectations. I wanted to manage people well, optimize operations well, and keep projects on track while wanting more time at home with friends and family. But no matter how hard I worked, I was constantly spinning my wheels and burning myself out.
Then I had the spark of an idea. Maybe my work ethic wasn't the problem… I needed to revamp the entire thing. I needed systems, processes, and automation!
I Launched The Process Hacker
In 2019, I Launched The Process Hacker to document what I learned and help other businesses along the way. It's difficult to find time to work on the business when you already feel overwhelmed and overworked. But I knew that this investment in myself would pay off in the long run.
Every day, I researched, explored, tested, and tracked new operational hacks, tools, or habits. Many things didn't work for my business, and I failed more times than I could count, but eventually, I found my rhythm and started seeing results.
